The Indigenous Services Book Club at SLC is one of many initiatives striving to incorporate Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Being throughout our college community. Each month we choose a new story written by an Indigenous author or ally that reflects the beauty of the culture, the challenges of communities, the resilience of Indigenous people and the Red Road to Reconciliation.
BPSYC student’s poster presentation places first at provincial conference
Lily Wallis and Krista Walsh, second-year students in the Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology program, presented their posters at the Ontario Association of Developmental Disabilities (OADD) Virtual Conference in April. Lily won first place in the Poster Award competition for students.
CMHA Mental Health Week and Resources
From May 3-9, 2021, #GetReal about how you feel and celebrate Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) 70th annual Mental Health Week. Every May, people in Canadian communities, schools, workplaces and legislatures rally around CMHA Mental Health Week.
